Housing Professional Receives Professional Service Coordinator Designation
Worthington, OH, September 10, 2026 — On August 25, 2026, Nashelle Keenan, was conferred as a Professional Service Coordinator (PSC).
The PSC designation is awarded by the American Association of Service Coordinators (AASC), a national not-for-profit membership organization that provides leadership, education, training and advocacy for service coordinators and other housing professionals. Service coordinators support older adults, families and persons with disabilities in affordable housing properties by assessing their needs and linking them to resources, facilitating programs on topics such as job training or health and wellness, and helping them achieve economic stability.
Recipients of the PSC designation complete more than 35 hours of intensive training followed by a comprehensive exam on topics including diversity, screenings and assessments, conflict resolution, mental health issues and ethics. The program is offered through AASC’s collaboration with The Ohio State University, College of Medicine's Office of Geriatrics and Gerontology.
The Professional Service Coordinator designation represents a high achievement for housing professionals. By completing the program, recipients have demonstrated their dedication to continuing education, professionalism and the people they serve.
